Kelly O’Neill
Services Offered: Counselling, Assessment
Currently accepting new clients.
Kelly has over 7 years of experience supporting the development of critical life skills for teens and adults with autism. This is a population that she considers to be her special interest and passion. Other practice areas include sexuality and gender, neurodiversity, chronic illness, relationships, anxiety, and self-compassion. While she pulls primarily from cognitive behavioural therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy, Kelly will also utilize strategies from solution-focused therapy, dialectic behaviour therapy, and Gottman couples therapy to tailor intervention for each specific need and presentation.
By eliciting humour and a candid-but-kind environment in session, Kelly strives to provide a flexible, honest, and trusting space for clients to find "their box" - that is, finding what works for them as individuals and allows clients to leave therapy feeling fulfilled and accomplished, even when change can be challenging.
Kelly works with teens and adults of varying backgrounds, needs, and presentations who are prepared to explore their experiences, gain insight and make desired changes through a goal-oriented, strengths-focused approach.
